Businesses looking to relocate or expand in Kern County can find a wide variety of incentives. The Kern Economic Development Corporation can direct businesses to select federal, state and local economic incentives available to attract new jobs, investment and development.

Some of the available incentives include: Employee Training Panel Funds (ETP), providing direct employment training grants; Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), which provide for some goods to pass in and out of the area with no import tariffs; and Kern County Incentive Program, offering rebates of property and sales/use taxes.
